This week Kelly Beaumont shares some thoughts to encourage and empower us to get through the next seven days as she chooses a few songs to help us in our times of worship

And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.  Therefore, God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Philippians 2 vs 8-11 (NKJV)

Our faith & salvation, rests in Jesus & His positon as Saviour.  He is our Redeemer and has saved our souls.

I am reminded of His great authority.  The victory of Jesus & His resurrection.  I am reminded of His sovereignty over every situation.  He is worthy & higher than any other name.  All things are under His authority.

Jesus died, rose again & ascended into Heaven.  He took His place as King of Kings & Lord of Lords.  He alone reigns & no power, authority or ruler can come against Him.  Whatever the name, Jesus’ name is greater, higher & stronger.

I’ve found myself thinking about this truth.  Jesus is King.  He is sovereign.  He is unshakeable, unmoveable & unstoppable. Yet this same King is also my saviour, my friend & my Father. He came as a humble man to live among us, knowing that one day He would die a painful & unbearable death yet rise again triumphing over sin & death as Saviour of the world.  I can rest in this truth & declare His power & authority over my life and over every situation.

There is a King, seated among us.
Let every heart receive Him now.
Where there is praise, He will inhabit.
There will be grace & mercy all around

This song has been on repeat in the Beaumont house these past 2 weeks.  I cannot help but pour out my heart in worship when I think about Jesus.  My King of Kings & Lord of Lords.  He is seated among us & wants to be part of our lives, our families & our situations.  He is Sovereign & yet His love, His grace & mercy are so tangible when we open our hearts to Him.

If you can this week, take an opportunity to listen to this song & be reminded again of who Jesus is to you.

Be blessed & have a great week xx
