This week Kelly Beaumont shares some thoughts to encourage and empower us to get through the next seven days as she chooses a few songs to help us in our times of worship

Those of you who know me, know that I’m not the keenest of exercisers, so I thought it was highly amusing that God would remind me about being my strength in times of weakness & the answer to all my questions, when researching exercises to help support Evie with her core muscle strength!

Whilst researching I found out that…. Core muscles work in harmony to help you to balance, stabilise, run faster, enhance flexibility, move in all directions, prevent falls & support the whole body.  Every activity we undertake, relies on stable core muscles.  Poor core muscles lead to fatigue, less endurance, injuries & pain.  Overall your core muscles are the centre of your body.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me

Philippians 4 v 13 (NKJV)

When I rely on my own strength, I fail.  When I push forward in my own ability, I become tired & weary.  When I look to the plans of this world, I lose sight & fall flat, BUT when I rely on God’s strength, I succeed!  When I step out in Gods wisdom & direction, I walk in fullness of life & sore on wings of eagles.  When I look to Gods plans, I have vision & see clearly.

When we go back to the centre & bring ourselves back in harmony with Gods word & anointing, just like our core muscles, we will run our race with endurance.  We will move more freely and see chains broken.  We will become more balanced & stable in our feelings & emotions.  We find help, support & direction in times of need & stand firm & upright in God’s word & promises over our lives.

Let us come back to the centre, Jesus.  In Him we find all that we need.  He will bring strength & power into every situation.  When we come to ‘the Centre’ we become centred when everything else pushes us off balance.  The first song I’ve included in this week’s play list sums it up perfectly;

Jesus at the centre of it all
Jesus at the centre of it all
From beginning to the end.
It will always be
It’s always been You Jesus

Nothing else matters
Nothing in this world will do
Jesus You’re the centre
Everything revolves around You
Jesus You.
