Today, Kathryn and Kelly have teamed up to bring you a special Good Friday Worship playlist and devotion.
Hallelujah, I’ll live my life in remembrance
“Remembrance” © Hillsong Worship, 2017
As I thought about what Good Friday means to me, I found myself singing the song, ‘Remembrance’ by Hillsong.
I want to live my life remembering the victory of the cross & the sacrifice that Jesus made for me; That on the cross He took all my sin & shame and that He took every sickness & made me whole (Isaiah 53:5). This ultimate act of love is one that I never want to forget. One that I am forever grateful for.
It’s because of His victory on the cross that we can walk in freedom and know His grace & mercy over our lives every single day.
The last part of the song says-
You’ve been so so good to me
Oh to think where I would be if not for You.
How many of us can stand together today and say yes to this? Where would we be today if it wasn’t for Jesus? He chose the cross because of me & you. WOW!!
The word hallelujah means to give God praise. It’s an expression of worship & rejoicing. The truth of the cross stirs up worship & praise in me, it makes me rejoice! He’s been so good to me & will continue to be good. The cross is evidence of His goodness & love in our lives.
So let me leave you with this: I asked Evie (aged 8) what Good Friday means to her. Her simple reply to me was this, “We eat hot cross buns because Jesus died on the cross. He is victorious”
Today remember this… Jesus was and is and will forever be victorious!
Amen xx

We’re really excited about Sundays Easter Video. Not only have we got another incredible Word from Pastor Rob, but we will also have a very special worship set lead by guest worship leaders Kari Jobe and Cody Carnes, who will lead us in worship from their home in California as we worship in our homes together as a family. This is an incredible blessing to us as a church so be sure to tune in at 10am on Easter Sunday.
More than that, instead of just watching our Easter Service, we want you to be a part of it! We invite you to record a short video message (keep to about 30-45seconds) to wish everyone a Happy Easter. Simply gather your household, take your phone, record your message and email it to theworshipcentre.media@gmail.com by the end of today (Friday) so we can share them on Easter Sunday as part of our weekly video. We can’t wait to see all your lovely smiling faces.
[If you’re struggling to record or send your message, contact us and we will endeavour to assist you]
