Today, Kathryn shares a special Easter Sunday Worship playlist and devotion.
For a week or so now, I‘ve felt a battlecry rise up from within me. It seems fitting on this Easter Sunday, when our calendars remind us that Christ Jesus, our Saviour rose from the dead and won the battle against the enemy, against sickness and against death. We live in His victory every day.
The time our world is in right now is one of a battle, a struggle. Yet against the resistance comes a cry from deep within. As Jesus gave his last breathe, He cried “It is finished.” He was victorious. His work on earth was complete. It is complete and will remain complete forever. So we are in this historical moment in a position of completeness and victory.
The purpose of a war cry is to rally the troops and to intimidate the enemy. It‘s a guttural, deafening noise from the very depths of your being. It‘s that point you come to when you know nothing of yourself will work but the Holy Spirit rises up within you, emboldens you. It surpasses the fear and our humanity. It reminds our enemy that he has lost and our God has conquered!
What are the effects of a battlecry in the Bible?
Nations shake, fortified city walls crumble, the enemy flees, the secrets of nature are exposed. Such a mighty power can be found in the battle cry of the holy. The same power that raised Christ from the dead lives within you. Now is the time to stir up the gift within you. Now is the time.
Does the soldier feel fear before he attacks? Most likely but he knows who he fights for. He knows who his Commander is. He believes in the cause. He believes that victory is theirs. Remind yourself today that when fear comes knocking on the door of your mind, your God has raised up a standard. ‘The Lord is on my side. Whom shall I fear?‘
Church, let‘s worship our awesome Saviour together today from a position of power. We sing hallelujah. The Lamb has overcome!

Ever since it became apparent that we were facing a season of being unable to meet together, it has been our prayer and determination that everyone would stay connected. Over the last three weeks we have heard how people are phoning and texting eachother more than ever and how social media and our website has been an incredible tool to keep everyone up to date with information as well as being fed with encouragment and teaching. We have also witnessed people writing cards and letters and posting them to one another. Well done church!
We have also been researching ways to bring everyone together with the use of video conferencing platforms such as Zoom or Skype. These tools allow us to come together to see eachother, to chat, pray and learn the Word together. You dont need any special equipment other than a smart phone, tablet or a laptop/PC with a camera and you dont even need to set up an account.
